About the Music:
Emerson Hart is the lead singer and songwriter of the alternative rock band Tonic. Tonic’s first release, Lemon Parade, was a multi-platinum success, featuring the hit songs "Open Up Your Eyes" and "If You Could Only See," the latter of which became radio’s most played Rock Song in 1997. Tonic’s third LP, Head On Straight (2002) received two Grammy nominations. In 2009 Tonic reformed resulting in multiple tours and a Greatest Hits release.

Also performing were some of Atlanta’s seasoned musical artists as well as up-and-coming talent, Gareth Asher of our "Songs for Charity Campaign" , Michael Tolcher, Christopher Alan Yates, Jen Lowe, Brian Bisky, Will Boos and others from our very own "Watershed Project."
Tree Sound Studios Tree Sound Studios partnered with UCR again to provide solar power for River Revival's music. Developed by recording studio owner Paul Diaz, this ingenious, economical and pollution-free method of providing power consists of a power trailer containing a wind turbine and solar panels. 2010 River Rock Star Award Winner: Ed Roland of Collective Soul
The River Rock Star Award honors a company, group, or individual that has used their creative gifts or innovative methods to benefit Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and raise awareness about the importance of protecting the Chattahoochee River, drinking water source for 3.5 million Georgians.
This year, we honored Ed Roland, of Collective Soul, for his generous contribution of time and talent to raise visibility and funds for the cause of ensuring that the Chattahoochee River remains a source of clean, abundant water for now and for generations to come. In addition to turning our River Revival two years ago into a sell-out event (pictured right) and bringing new members to the cause, his benefit concert at Eddie’s Attic at the end of 2009 was a tremendous help in bringing in much needed funds during a very lean year for all nonprofits. The award will be presented during the event.
Save the Hooch Campaign

River Revival is also the kick-off party for SweetWater Brewery’s 5th annual Save the Hooch Campaign, which engages beer drinkers, bar patrons, and restaurants throughout metro Atlanta in efforts to raise awareness and funds to support UCR’s river patrol and water quality monitoring programs from Memorial Day through July 4 weekend. According to SweetWater Marketing Director Steve Farace, “River Revival is a great way for us to kick off the campaign. It’s always a fantastic party, and it gives people a chance to get personally involved in protecting our river.” For more information, visit www.savethehooch.com.
